Aaron "The Bear Man" Sanchez

Aaron “The Bear Man” Sanchez, 84, of Pilar went home to the Lord on March 30, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Onita Montoya Sanchez, brothers, Gilbert Sanchez and Jimmy Sanchez, sisters, Erlinda Robbins and Maryann Carabajal.  He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lillie, nephews, Gillie Grey, Desi Flores, and Tony Archuleta and nieces, Lisa Baca and Loretta Carabajal.

Aaron proudly served in the military and was a member of the 82nd Airbourne.  Aaron loved nature and animals especially bears.  He tried to educate people about how special they are.  He was always passing out photos and talking about bears

Funeral services will be held at the Taos LDS Church on Monday the 10th of April at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at the Veteran’s National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
