Abel Salazar Uncle Abe, a resident of Ranchos de Taos, NM passed away on October 8, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents Levi and Irene Salazar; daughter, Veronica Cordova; granddaughters, Lisa and Tina Chavez; brothers, Ramon and Ismael Salazar; sister, Eloida Garcia; nephews, David and Levi Salazar; nieces, Linda Esquibel; Jennifer Salazar and Wanda Garcia. He is survived by his children, Yolanda Chavez; Yvonne Salazar (Grace); Cathy Visarraga (Eugene); Alex Salazar (Venetia); Francisco Salazar; mother of his children, Betty Salazar; son-in-law, Herbert Cordova Sr.; his siblings, Theresa, Josie and Wallace (Lula). His grandchildren, Felisha Torrez (Francisco); Amanda Valencia (Jerome); Geno Visarraga (Savanna); Reyes Visarraga; Alexis Salazar; Stephanie Martinez (Gil); Desserae Cordova; Herbert Cordova Jr. (Iesha); his great-grandchildren, Bryan; Faith; and baby Israel; Diego; Elijah; Aubrey; Dylan; Aaliyah; Dominic; and Asia; Miranda; Ariana; Santiago; Ryan; Alesandra; Luciano and Pablo. What a blessing to have our Dad leave this world to go to heaven on the same day he was born 77 years later. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 11:00 am at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church in Ranchos de Taos. A private burial with family members will take place at a later date.
