Abenicio Sanchez

Abenicio Sanchez went home to be with his Lord and savior Jesus Christ on March 19, 2017 at the age of 97, just shy of his 98th birthday. He is preceded in death by his parents Emilia Pacheco and Zacarias Sanchez, his spouses Esther Sanchez and Annie Sanchez, five sisters, and two brothers. He was the last remaining sibling. He is survived by his sons James and Gilbert Sanchez (Kathy), his daughters Cleo Gonzales (Nick) and Anna Marie Wade (Earle), 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. He served in the US Army during World War II and was a member of the Japanese invasion Force. Abe will be greatly missed by his family and those whose lives he touched. A memorial service will be held at the Kiva Chapel of Light at Rivera Family Funeral Home (417 East Rodeo Road) on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 10:30am. Burial will take place on April 24, 2017 in the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:15am.
