Adonaida Vigil

Adonaida Vigil age 68 of Chama, NM. died peacefully in Albuquerque on Monday January 25, 2010. She was born to the late Nick Rivas and Antonia Martinez-Rivas in Chama, NM. Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her son Antonio Ramon Vigil and daughter Patricia Anita Vigil. She is survived by her beloved husband Tony Vigil, children; Toby Vigil, Archie Vigil and wife Gloria, Juan Vigil and Felicia Vigil all of Chama, siblings; Conrad Rivas and wife Severa of Farmington, Silveria R. Martinez and husband Flavio of Chama, Andrew "Andy" Rivas of Chama, Tomas Rivas and wife Gerri of Chama, Mary Helen R. Gonzales of Las Vegas, NV., Cornelia R. Martinez and husband Fidel of Pagosa Springs, CO., Estevan "Steven" Rivas and wife Rose of Farmington and Ramona Jaramillo and husband Roy of Chama, sixteen grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Recitation of the rosary was held on Friday January 29th at St. Patricks' Catholic Church in Chama, with the mass of Christian burial being celebrated on Saturday also at church. Interment followed at The Chama Cemetery. Chama Mayor Archie Vigil and family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation for the prayers, monetary gifts and food. Special thanks to the hermanos from Canjilon for the beautiful recitation of the rosary, father Clement for the special offering of the Catholic Mass, the Russoms for assistance of the snow removal and to Cathy Torrez for her help with the delicious food.
