Ageda Fresquez

Ageda Fresquez, 92, a resident of the Taos Living Center passed away on February 05, 2011. Aggie loved living in the mountains of Los Vallecitos NM where she cared for her sheep, cattle, chickens, dogs and cats. Ageda always had a big garden where she harvested many vegetables, she also had a passion for her orchard and flowerbeds where she spent many hours tending to. She raised 5 children. She also had a huge role in raising some of her grandchildren. Who came to think of her as their own mother. She was one of 9 children born to David and Manuelita Mares. Ageda was born in La Cebolla on January 14th 1919. She was preceded in Death by her Husband Florentino Fresquez, father David Mares, Mother Manuelita Chacon Mares, brothers, Juan, Casimiro, Max and Jose, Sisters, Feloniz. She was survived by her three sisters Adelina, Adelia, and Christina, Her Children; Tim, Iona-Sue, Idine, Vangie and Richard. Grandchildren: Lorie, Monica, Amy, Michelle, Antonio, Mindy, Cordell, Simon, Shannon, and Casimiro, Great grandchildren Andrew, Curtis, Jade, Kylie, Nicholas, and Marilyn. Rosary was recited on February 09, 2011. Funeral mass was held on February 10, 2011. Both services were held at St. Gertrude Church in Mora. Interment was held at the Cleveland Cemetery.
