Alan was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 13, 1947 to Walter and Margaret Hickman. He was a proud graduate of Penn State. He met his “Perfect Love,” Jan in 2004. Early in their relationship, Alan and Jan worked to build and grow their own consulting business, where Alan coached many clients to help them “Attract Their Perfect Customers.” Alan and Jan married on July 28, 2007 and resided together in Santa Fe, NM the last 11 years. He enjoyed working in the garden and making things beautiful in his yard. Alan was known to most as the world’s greatest cheerleader, as he always had something positive to say to his friends and clients. Alan loved sports! He read about sports, he watched sports, but most of all he enjoyed making it to Texas to watch his grandchildren play football, basketball, baseball, and track. Alan loved working with his wife Jan and “doing life” with her. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
