                                                          ALAN RICHARDSON

Alan Richardson passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022 with his beloved wife, Cathy, at his side.  Alan was born in Garden Grove, CA on May 15, 1948, the son of Jack and Mary Richardson.  He grew up on the beaches of Southern California and enjoyed many sock-hops at Disneyland.  Alan spent the last thirty-five years living in Santa Fe, which he enjoyed very much.  Alan was an avid gardener and loved spending time with his cat, Milagro.

Alan proudly served in the U.S. Air Force as an air traffic controller before attending and graduating from the University of Arizona.  In addition to his Air Force Service, Alan was very proud of his career in economic development, most notably working for Senator Pete Domenici and Governor Gary Johnson.

Alan is survived by his loving wife, Catherine (Cathy) Martinez-Richardson; children Dustin Richardson and Robin Mitchell; grandchildren Sloan, Brooklynn, Carter, Devlyn, Mckenzie, Avery, and Preston; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Ed Parker; niece and nephews, Andrea DiRuggiero, Travis Parker, and Jeff Parker; special friends Aku Oppenheimer, Fred Ullom of Tucson, AZ and many others.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 11:30 AM at the Rivera Family Kiva Chapel, 417 E. Rodeo Rd, Santa Fe.  Interment with full military honors will follow at 1:30 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

It is with profound sadness that his family and friends will miss him greatly but Alan will live on forever in our hearts and memories.
