Albert Readwin

January 18, 1935 — November 4, 2023

Albert “Gus” L. Readwin - Born January 18, 1935

On November 4, 2023, Albert L. Readwin “Brother Augustine” was called to join our Lord.  He passed peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Over the course of his 88 years Albert lived an extraordinary life that most have never dreamt of. From a young age he dedicated his life to his Faith. He found the love of his life and spent 35 years creating laughter and memories, which still wasn’t enough time. He had a special bond with each of his daughters and adored his grandchildren. His passion for teaching along with his lifelong mission of learning was a true expression of his creativity.

Albert had the gift of unconditional love and the most beautiful, kind, and happy blue eyes.  He viewed the world through rose colored glasses and only saw the best in people.  His pure heart was contagious. He genuinely was an example of how life should be lived.

The mark he has left on this world will remain through his family whom he loved dearly, and the many students lives he impacted. Albert will continue to inspire all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father Walter, mother Minnie, brother Raymond, sister Gertrude, granddaughter Kaylyn, and son-in-law David.

He is survived by his soulmate Frances Baca, daughters Vanessa, Heather (Robert), Sandy (Scott), Debbie, and Donna (Ben).  Grandchildren Kianna, Davion, Nevaeh, Rylee, Michelle, Luke (Amber), Nikki and many nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be held at 9:00am, with a mass to follow on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Santa Maria de La Paz Catholic Church.
