Alexander Leopoldo Carrillo “Leo”, 21

Born July 27, 2000, Santa Fe, NM. Died tragically in a car accident, October 29, 2021.

Preceded in death by grandparents Claire Childs Martin, Coy Ben Martin, Bobbie Moore, Merl Moore, Leopoldo Espinosa Carrillo. Left to cherish Leo’s memory are parents Marja Claire Martin, Steven J. Carrillo, and stepfather James Bourland. Aunts and uncles Lisa and Alvin Childs, Penny and Michael Carrillo, and Molly Martin Langford. Cousins Will, Lilly and Carolyn Langford. Also, and importantly, the love of his life, Lisette Keating.

Love was Leo. 

He was our shooting star. Our greatest gift. Brilliant. Luminescent. Passionate. That infectious smile. In truth, he was awe-inspiring. Never a day wasted in Leo’s world. 

He was always joyful. Helpful. A loyal and loving friend. A best friend to so many. To his mother, to his father. Thankfully, he was blessed with the freedom to chase his passions. To travel and explore the world. He got so much out of life, off on an adventure, ever curious. Learning. Working. Sparkle in his eye, frog in his pocket. Gardening, farming, snowboarding, hiking, camping, making music. Making things, making people, better.

He left the world a better place for having been in it. 

He will be horribly missed and forever loved. 

Our hearts are broken.

Service and burial to be held November 2 at 3 PM at Rivera Memorial Gardens at 417 East Rodeo Road.
