Alice Valdez

Our Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt Alice went home to be our Lord on November 7th, 2022.  Alice M. Valdez was a lifelong resident of Santa Fe, NM and was born on November 5th, 1932, in Taos, NM. She enjoyed spending time with her family on her favorite holiday, which was Christmas. She is preceded in death by her Parents Bences and Corina Maestas, Son, Jerry Maestas, In-Laws, Antonio and Emma Valdez, brothers, Moises, Julian and Johnny Maestas, Sisters Porfie Montoya and Diane Hammer and many other relatives. 

She is survived by her lifelong Husband Horace Valdez, Daughters: Margaret Trujillo (Frank), JoAnn Perea (Peter), Theresa Valdez (Louie), Dena Valdez and Becky Martinez. 

Grandchildren: Frank Jr. (Nichole), Loriann Trujillo, Rachel Maestas (Laverne), Sonya Garcia (Adam) Roberto Perea (Danielle), Jolyne Valdez (Monty) Lewis Young (Crystal), Benny Young, Angelica Salas (Tim), Marisol Martinez, Eduardo Martinez (Nichole), Francisco, Alexis, Christine & Esperanza Trujillo, Amariah & Jordan Garcia, Antonio Perea, Derek Carmack, Jaylene Maez, Ramon & Sabrina Avalos, Santos & Joshua Munoz, Aaliyah & Trinity Martinez, Mya Maestas, Manolito J. Martinez and Mateo Trujillo Montoya. Siblings: Orlando Maestas (Amy), Lorraine Smith (Harry), Eva Valdez (+Tony+), Gloria Lopez (+Ted Jr.+),Olivia Gonzales (+Greg+), Jeanette Vigil (Herson), Cleo Coca (Johnny), Mercy Quintana (Robert).

In-Laws: Michelle Maestas, Sammy Hammer, Rudy Valdez (Lugie), Jake Valdez (Mary Helen), Louella Fernadez (Neo), Milton Valdez and numerous other relatives.

A Rosary will be recited on November 16th, 2022 @ 10:30 am at Santa Maria de La Paz Church 11 College Ave. in Santa Fe, NM. Funeral Mass to follow at 11am. A Christian Burial will be at Memorial Gardens 417 Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM.
