Alicia S. Martinez – Age 84 a resident of Cordova passed away on Friday, June 8th, 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents: Miguel and Adelaida C. Sandoval; sisters: Aurora, Trinidad, and Josefita; grandson, Francisco Martinez; and great-granddaughter, Daisy Valdez. May their souls rest in peace. She married her husband, Roberto E. Martinez on Decemeber 19, 1943. She is survived by her husband, Roberto E. Martinez of Cordova; children: Robert O. Martinez and Berlina M. Ramirez both of Albuquerque, Clyde J. Martinez and wife Adela of Española and Michael Martinez and wife Sandra and Tommy Martinez all of Cordova and Anthony Martinez and companion Lynette of Española; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Monday, June 11th, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 12th, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family of Alicia S. Martinez has placed their trust in the Rivera family of Block-Salazar Mortuary.
