Amanda Martinez

Our beloved, mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend, Amanda Nicole Martinez, born February 25, 1983, returned to her heavenly home on August 31, 2021 at age 38 after a battle with COVID-19. Amanda’s pride was in her family and friends, she touched so many hearts with her generous and helpful deposition. She lent a helping hand to every soul that crossed her path. Amanda loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family and friends, and crafting gifts.  

Amanda is survived by her husband of 25 years, Leonard Lee Martinez. They truly have the greatest love story of all time. Together, they have three children: Izaiah Martinez 19, Elijah Martinez 18, and Navayah Martinez 15. Amanda was a loving and active mother who gave her all to her family. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her.

Amanda is also survived by her large family. Her mother, Debbie Anaya; step-father Dion Montoya, her father, Chris Martinez; sisters, Vanessa Martinez; Raquel Trujillo; Felisha Sena; Mother-in-law Lorraine Lovato; sister-in-laws, Susie Padilla; Desirae Martinez and Sonya Martinez, and brother in-laws Andy Martinez, and Johnny King, Grandfathers, Melicio Martinez and Pete Montoya, Nieces and Nephews, Destiny; Thomas; Camille; Xzavier; Donnivyn; Zia and LiAmor; Godfather Leroy Martinez, and close family friends The Cordovas, Edwina, Daniel, Daniel Jr, and Estrella, and the Lunas, Felicia, David, Dion, and Gabriel. Plus many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Amanda was preceded in death by her Uncle Anthony Anaya, Grandmother Olivia Perea, Grandmother Margie Martinez, and Father in-law Raymond Martinez.

All services will be held at the Rivera Funeral Home in Santa Fe, NM. A viewing is scheduled 4-6 pm on September 8, 2021. A Rosary will immediately follow the viewing.

A funeral is scheduled at 5:30 pm on September 9, 2021. The burial is scheduled for 1:30 pm on September 11, 2021, reception to follow at the Elks Lodge in Santa Fe, NM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to https://gofund.me/b5c4afd3.
