Andrea Gallegos

Andrea Marie Gallegos died peacefully of natural causes in Albuquerque, NM on July 8, 2020 at the age of 96 years old. She was born on November 30, 1923 in Hernandez, NM to Santiago and Dilia Gallegos.

Her hobbies included, traveling to different parts of the world, to Međugorje Bosnia and Herzegovina, to Boliva, Columbia and Las Vegas, Nevada to mention a few. She enjoyed watching baseball, her favorite team being the Los Angeles Dodgers. She love to play bingo, making crafts, dancing, word puzzles, praying her rosary and reading her Bible. She enjoyed red/green chili, fresh tortillas and beans. Andrea retired from the restaurant business as manager and waitress at Duran’s in Albuquerque, NM. Andrea was outgoing and made many friends during her life. She was very liked by the staff at Genesis Assisted Living. She will be dearly missed all.  

Andrea Marie Gallegos is survived by her son; Lee Gallegos (Elizabeth) of Albuquerque, NM, daughter; Antoinette Hague (William) of Las Cruces, NM, brothers; Johnny Gallegos of Las Vegas, NV, Fred Gallegos (Nora) of El Guache, NM, sisters; Pilar Archuleta of Española,  and Cres Sanchez (Leo) of El Guache, NM.

She is preceded in death by Santiago DeAlacumba (husband), Santiago Gallegos (father), Dilia Gallegos (mother), and Charlotte Villareal (daughter) Arturo Gallegos, Jimmy Gallegos, and Luciano Gallegos (brothers), Geneviève Gallegos (sister), Andy Villareal Jr., Charlene Villareal ad Leena Amburn (grandchildren).

Serving the Gallegos Family as Pallbearers; Steven Gallegos, Carlos Gallegos, Joseph Gallegos, Andrew Ulibarri, and Christopher Ulibarri.

Serving the Gallegos Family as Honorary Pallbearers; all the other grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, starting at 6 PM.  A Rosary will be prayed at 7 PM at Rivera Family Funeral Home.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at 1 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in Hernandez, NM.
