Andres Griego-Alvarado

Our beloved son Andres Griego-Alvarado, age 18, was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 7, 2022. Andres was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico on September 4, 2003.

Andres was a recent graduate from Santa Fe High School and was planning on attending college this fall to pursue a career in nursing. Andres was always so full of life. He enjoyed dancing, making people smile and spending time with family and friends. Andres was passionate about fitness and reaching his fitness goals. Andres had a heart of gold and wanted those around him to be happy. He was the type to do anything to help someone in need. He was unforgettable to those he first met because of his comedic outgoing personality and infectious smile.

Andres is survived by his loving parents Roberto Alejandro Mercado-Alvarado and Lorice Griego; brothers Austin Alt and Antonio Griego-Alvarado; grandparents Chester and Therese Griego, Maria Guadalupe Alvarado Morales; Uncle Chris (Charlotte); Tios Francisco, Antonio, Osvaldo, Julio Cesar; Tias Sandra (Benjamin), Norma (Refugio), Sonia, Cristela (Victor), Adriana (Juan), and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.   

Serving as Pallbearers are; Austin Alt and Antonio Griego-Alvarado.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are; Mia Griego, Chris Griego Jr., Mayra Rodriguez, Paola Mercado, Roberto Mercado and Genesis Camila Rodriguez.

A public viewing will be held at Rivera Family Funeral Home in Santa Fe New Mexico on July 21, 2022 at 5:30 PM. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi on July 22, 2022 at 12:30 PM. Interment will lie at Rosario Cemetery following the mass. Reception to follow at Santa Fe County Exhibit Hall at the fairgrounds.
