Andres Montoya

Andres Eloy Montoya Sr., 93 of Des Montes went to be with his Lord on January 22, 2011. He was born May 6, 1917 in Capulin, Colorado to Vidal and Francesquita Montoya. He is preceded in death by his wife Valentina, daughters Frances Lucy Montoya and Andrea Starr. He is survived by his wife Gloria, twelve children; Rose Molina (Samuel), Marty Bruce, Andres Montoya Jr. (Bernice), Elva Pacheco, Eloyed Montoya (Frances), Nancy Segura, Julie Sterns (Brad), Thomas Montoya (Erlinda), Ramon Montoya, Frances Harrington (Dwayne), Valentina Lucia Lopez (Mark), Carolyn Pecina (Ezequiel), and reared grandson Eric Montoya, 31 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by stepsons Michael, Terry (Cindy), Daniel (Annie), and their children and grandchildren. Andres was a well-known member of the Taos and Des Montes Communities, and a church member of Taos Assembly of God for over 60 years. He will be greatly missed by family and countless friends. The Andres Montoya family would like to give special thanks and acknowledgements to Pastor Louis Madrid and the congregation of Taos Assembly of God, Rivera-Hanlon Funeral Home, Dr. Larry Schreiber (Physician and friend), and numerous family, relatives and friends. Evening service was held on January 26, 2011. Funeral service was held on January 27, 2011. Both service were held at Rivera Chapel with interment following at the Taos Assembly of God Church Cemetery. Reception followed at the Juan I. Gonzales Agricultural Center.
