Andres Kino Quintana

With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of our father Kino, on May 10th, 2022.

Kino is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Pauline Quintana, who was his heart and soul. His parents Alberto and Ignacita Quintana, siblings Jose Rueben, Jose Alberto, Celestino, Ben Sr., Jose Epitacio, Epitacio Presilino, Mariquita, Horacio, Eufelio and Minnie Vita.

Kino is survived by his daughters Kina Quintana and Tamara Quintana of Espanola, Brother Elias Neffie Quintana of Albuqureque, Sisters in Law Frances Quintana of El Rancho, Maybel DeAguero of California, Flora Martinez and husband Tony of Ranchitos and many nieces and nephews.

Kino was a bodyman for many years. He was also an artist. He loved to paint and sketch the lanscapes and old churches of New Mexico. He loved spending time in his shop, inventing and re-inventing all kinds of things.

As a Teamster Member, he loved working in the movie industry. He met, worked with and drove some of Hollywoods biggest legends such as John Wayne, Gene Kelly, Henry and Peter Fonda, David, Keith and Robert Curradine, Christopher Reeves, Oliver Stone and his good friends Bruce Dern, Sam Elliot and Stacy Keach.

Kino was very proud of his accomplishments as well as his family. He loved to travel and make people laugh. He loved football and was a Washington Redskins fan for over 60 years.

His formidable presence will be greatly missed.

We Love You Dad.
