Andrew Jim Myers

Jim (A.W.) Myers, 77, beloved husband, father, grandfather left this earth to reside in his heavenly home on Monday, September 12, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Carole Jeane, daughters, Deanna Lynne Eder and husband Tom, Janie Denise Garcia and husband Dennis and Crystal Colleen Moore and granddaughters, Klarysa Earline Garcia, Myranda Lynne Garcia and Les Ann Garcia. He is also survived by his lovely sister, Joanne Craig of Atlanta, Georgia and nieces and nephews, Jim, Shannon, Danny and Kim Craig. Jim was born to Jerry and Maxine Myers in Las Vegas, NM. He lived in Albuquerque and Angel Fire, NM. He was very proud of his naval and reserve service. After his service he attended UNM and valued his Alma Mater, remaining at Sandia Labs throughout his adult life. Jim was employed at Sandia National Laboratories for 32 years, retiring to travel, engage in his love of adventure and engagement with his family, whom were the center of his life. Jim remained involved in the Methodist Church, teaching Sunday School for 33 years. Jim had a zest for service and helping others and engaged in the Big Brother program for 14 years and was an Eagle Scout in High School. He was very athletic and enjoyed the outdoors and was skilled in snow skiing, water skiing, baseball, hiking, camping, golfing, tennis, basketball, etc. He enjoyed a very full life, he put others in front of himself, and was the most kind and loving man anyone could meet. He will be very missed. Funeral service was held on September 17, 2016 at United Church of Angel Fire. With interment at the Mountain View Cemetery. Arrangements by Rivera Family Funeral Home.
