Dear family and friends,
It is with broken and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful, beloved angel Andrew James Salazar. He was a beloved Son, Baby Brother, Sweet Grandson, Special Nephew, and A Great Friend. Andrew left us on earth too soon when he passed July 1st, 2024. Andrew James was a lifelong resident of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Andrew James was truly a gift from God. When he was born, he was so complex. No one had answers or anything positive or assuring to say about his health. He surprised everyone, especially the medical professionals who counted him out since day one despite his Beautiful, Fighting Spirit. With Andrew’s condition, the doctors told his parents “He would not make it to the age of 3 and if he did his life expectancy was 12 years old.” Andrew James has touched so many people in his 21 years of life on earth. His Essence was so pure and so gentle. Andrew had the kindest soul, never hurt even a fly. Difficult does not even come close to imagine living a life without him in it. He was a temporary gift here to us all. He is our special angel in heaven now, watching over us.
He was the only Son of his parents James and Judy Salazar, and he was their whole life. He had only one Sister, Marrisa Fayth, who he loved dearly, they shared a beautiful unspoken bond. Andrew James is survived by his Mom, Dad, Sister, Nana (Mary Rose), Nina (Denise), and Nino (Alfonso). He is also survived by his care team, full of many caregivers, nurses, therapists, and advocates that he touched along his journey on earth. He has been a constant inspiration and beam of the brightest light to countless people throughout his years. He had the bravery of a lion and the grace of a beautiful butterfly.
Andrew James will live on in our hearts and in our memories as LOVE never dies.
We are forever grateful to have been blessed and entrusted to be his family. It is an honor to have known someone with such amazing grace, courage, and love. He added such a special bond to our family, and we are honored to call him our Baby.
Rest in peace Baby Boy. Fly high with the angels. You are Our Sunshine.
We love you infinitely Andy.
