Andy Perea, 54, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 25, 2023. His parents Edward and Anita Perea Jr. preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death are a sister Debra Ann Perea and a Sister in law Roberta Perea.
He is survived by his brother and sisters Janet Armijo (Robert), Kathy Webb (David), Charlie Perea, and Jessica Perea (Florencio). Nieces and nephews David J. Webb Jr. (Sher), Mark Webb (Miquela), Kiana Armijo (Elvis), Terrance Armijo (Brittany), Tiedra Armijo - Robles (Andrew), Marissa Armijo (Christina), Arianna Perea (Carlos), Eddy Perea and Jonathan Perea. Great nieces and nephews Maya Webb, David J. Webb III, Lennay Armijo-Paz, Damian Webb, Ariyah Contreras, Levi Armijo-Paz, Emma Rose Contreras.
Andy was born on May 27, 1969, in Santa Fe, NM to Edward and Anita Perea. He grew up in Santa Fe, NM where he and his siblings attended the local elementary schools, and graduated from Santa Fe High School. Andy loved scratchers, bowling, fishing, camping, playing softball, volleyball and coaching. He also enjoyed singing karaoke and would often choose to sing Garth Brooks - “Friends in Low Places”. He loved having a good time and was often the life of the party. He also had a heart of gold. He was always willing to give a helping hand often putting others before him. His selflessness was often shown by his willingness to give and provide for those closest to him before thinking about himself. Although, Andy never had children, he helped raise Arianna and Eddy Perea, his niece and nephew, as if they were his own. He also had a special bond with Ariyah and Emma he was like a 2nd grandpa to them. Andy will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the Rivera Funeral Chapel Located at 417 East Rodeo Road. Catholic Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church located at 1301 Osage Avenue. Burial will follow the Mass at the Rosario Cemetery. Immediately following the burial, the reception will take place at the Fraternal Order of Police located at 3300 Calle Maria Luisa.
