Angela Anderson

Angela Kathryn Daly Anderson, 73, after a very long battle with colon cancer, died early in the morning on Saturday, April 30, 2022, in Los Alamos, New Mexico, with her sons and daughter-in law present at her bedside.

She was born April 24, 1949, in Alton, Illinois, the daughter of Rosalind M. (Hohn) and Anthony W. Daly.  She attended school in Alton, Illinois, at SS. Peter & Paul; in Webster Groves, Missouri, at Holy Redeemer; in Kirkwood, Missouri, at Ursuline Academy.  She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, with BA in Music (Voice), and from the University of Southern California with Masters in Performing Arts (Voice).  She had the gift of a mezzo-soprano voice. 

In California she married Richmond Gene Anderson on May 13, 1979, who preceded her in death on April 22, 2021, from gastric cancer.  She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Hanna (Anderson) Emanuel, on May 7, 2016, from gastric cancer.  She is survived by two sons: Eric Anderson (Serena Eley) of Los Alamos, New Mexico, and Christopher Anderson (Kali Allison,fiancée) of Pasadena, California, and son-in-law, Kenneth Emanuel, and grand-daughter, Kara Emanuel of Roseville, California.  

She is preceded in death by her brother Walter H. Daly of Alexandria, Virginia, on September 30, 2005. She is survived by her other siblings: Fr. Anthony C. Daly, S.J., of St. Louis, Missouri, Thomas M. Daly(Eileen Dunn), Sr. Thomas More Daly, O.S.U., and Rosalind Daly McDermott, all of Alton, Illinois.
