Angelina Marie Ortega passed away surrounded by her loving family and friends on August 29, 2024, after a 3-month battle with a severe infection at the young age of 28. Angelina was born and raised in Santa Fe and was a devoted mother to her 2 young children. She loved her children, her parents, her family and friends. She was a ray of sunshine to anyone that knew her, whether it was for 5 minutes or 5 years her infectious smile would light up a room. She was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, she loved music, watching movies with her dad and cousin, she loved Halloween and watching scary movies. She was looking forward to pursuing her career in the health field. She looked forward to her yearly walks to Santuario. She loved Ariel from the Little Mermaid and anything Disney. She was a big kid at heart, the smallest things made her happy, she loved doing crafts with her kids, helping with schoolwork, attending school functions, seeing her daughter cheer with the local high schools. Everything she did was for her children, everything else was secondary. She was looking forward to seeing her children grow and making more memories with them.
Angelina is preceded in death by her baby brother Anthony, her grandmother’s Mary Lujan and Gloria Ortega, her great grandparents Rose and Robert Jenks, Elvira and Feliciano Lujan, Lorencita Lucero and Joe and Cordellia Giron. Also, by many close friends.
