Angie M. Baca

Angie M. Baca of Albuquerque, NM, age 86 passed away peacefully with family by her side on December 24th, 2024. She was born on May 21st, 1938, in Dilia, NM to Lino and Dorotea Perea. Angie was loving, hardworking and had a heartwarming personality. Because of this, she was family to everyone she met, and they were family to her. She enjoyed family gatherings, dancing and reading her prayer books. Angie has left lasting memories to those she was surrounded by. She will be greatly missed.

Angie is survived by her children; Carol Baca (Ronald), Dan Baca (Regina), Aaron Baca (Dianna) and 3 grandchildren; Abigail Baca, Lucas Baca, Liam Baca and 3 siblings, Alice Quintana, Francis Espinosa and Seferino Perea (Mary Helen); and many extended family members and friends.

Angie is preceded in death by her parents Lino and Dorotea Perea, her husband, Arthur Baca; and siblings Jerry Perea, Joe Perea and Cordelia Sandoval, Carlota and Jesus C de Baca. A special thank you to Angie’s loving providers for the past 2 1/2 years (Carmen and Curtis Hudson from Touched by a White Dove) and Dr. Joy Lovette. Carmen and Curtis opened their home and hearts to our Angie for the last few years of her life and Dr. Lovette provided exceptional medical care to her.

Viewing will be held on Monday, January 6th from 11-11:15 am at Rivera Family Funeral Home, 417 East Rodeo Road, Santa Fe. A prayer service will be held at 11:30 am followed by memorial service at Rivera Family Funeral Home. Angie will be laid to rest following the services at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 pm. Pallbearers will be: Christina Espinosa (god-daughter), David Quintana (nephew), Jo John Montoya (nephew), Seferino Perea (brother), Carlos Sandoval (family friend), Elmo Montoya (family friend) and honorary pallbearers: Abigail Baca, Lucas Baca and Liam Baca (grandchildren).
