Anita Rendon, age 62, a resident of Espanola, NM passed away on March 12, 2013 due to a sudden illness. She was born on October 18, 1950 to Sinforoza and Juan Salazar.
Anita is preceded in death by her mother, Sinforoza Salazar, father Juan Salazar and brother Johnny Bread Salazar.
She is survived by her son, Ruben Rendon and companion Gabrielle, daughter, Lorie Rendon, granddaughters Kimberly Montoya, Monique Madrid, Gabrielle Madrid and Angel Madrid all of Espanola, grandsons Dominic and Jaziah Rendon, sisters Lucy Salazar, Virginia Barvoza and Clara Martinez, brother Dennis Salazar, several loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Anita was a loving Head Start Teacher for over 40 years and just loved working with children. She was employed at Tesuque Head Start. She was a very wise woman and raised her kids and grandkids the very best she could. Anita was a very loving and caring woman. She was always worried about helping others. She loved her kids and grandkids unconditionally. Anita dedicated her life to raising her granddaughters for many years and enjoyed every minute of every day with them. Anita will be greatly missed by many.
A visitation and rosary were held on March 15, 2013 at the Rivera Family Funeral Home Chapel in Espanola. A mass was celebrated on March 16, 2013 at Santa Cruz De La Canada. A reception followed at the American Legion Hall in Espanola.
