Anna Laura Villarreal de Torres, 87 resident of Santa Fe, New Mexico, passed away on August 7th, 2018 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She was born on May 17th, 1931 in Piedras Negras, Mexico to Berta Perez de Villarreal and Luis Villarreal.
She is preceded I death by her parents: Luis Villarreal, Berta Perez de Villarreal, siblings: Maria Castro, Amparo Torres, Luis Villarreal, Gustavo Villarreal, daughter: Diane Lynn Torres, granddaughter: Jasmine Torres Montoya, great granddaughter: Sybella Alvarez Smith
She is survived by: spouse: David Ronald Torres, children: Edwina Alvarez, David Lee Torres, Addie Kinsley, Gina Helmick and Loving family and friends.
Anna Laura Villarreal de Torres was born in Piedras Negras, Mexico to Luis and Berta Villarreal on May 17th, 1931. She was married on September 9th, 1957 to David Torres in Eagle Pass, Texas. Anna and David had five children and lived throughout the southwestern United States. Anna enjoyed a successful career working with Native American arts and jewelry. Anna eventually settled down in her beloved city of Santa Fe New Mexico where she lived out her days happily taking care of her children, garden, and making a beautiful home. What Anna loved most of all was her God, her family, children, babies, dancing, and dresses. Anna will be missed by many who will remember that throughout her life’s journey, Anna carried herself with the grace of a lady.
A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 2:00
p.m.at the Kiva Chapel of Light located at 417 East Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM with a Service to follow at 3:00 p.m.
