Annetta Ruth Rivera

April 12, 1940 — February 24, 2019

Annetta Ruth Rivera (Martinez) was called home by our heavenly father on Sunday February 25, 2019. Annetta was born in Santa Fe, NM. She was a 1958 graduate of Santa Fe High School and married her Valentine Love, Lalo whom she was together with for 57 ½ years. She deeply loved her family, children and grandchildren. She was a kind and courageous soul who loved her husband and family more than anything. Annetta was a lifelong caregiver helping with her baby brother, children, grandchildren and parents. Annetta is preceded in death by her loving husband Lalo, parents Abel and Helen Martinez, grandparents John and Nettie Wedeking and siblings Irma (John) Voller and Edward Lee. She is survived by her children; Michael (Vickie) Rivera, Elizabeth (Eric) Adams, Phillip (Debbie) Rivera and grandchildren; Jason (Stephanie) Rivera, Brandon (Jessica) Rivera, Lindsey Rivera (Aaron Morrison), Macleod, Sidney, Zoey, Maddox and Keladrey Adams and Lance Rivera. Great grandchildren; Sigge, Sydney, KeaKeaLani and Wyatt Rivera and brother Phillip (Barbara) Martinez. The family would like to thank Albuquerque Heights Memory Care Unit for their impeccable kindness, compassion and caring and Hospice of New Mexico for their enduring support and compassion. The family would also like to thank Apple Blossoms Florist for their beautiful flowers to brighten her room and her spirits. Rosary followed by a Mass at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Santa Fe will take place starting at 9am Thursday March 7, followed by burial service at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:15am.
