Anthony Lawrence “Larry” Vieira passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, in his sleep on Friday, June 24th, 2022. Larry was born on Friday, August 8, 1952, to Antonio “Tony” Vieira and Frances Quintana Vieira, in West Covina, California. He grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico, attending Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic School and graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1971. He traveled the west coast, lived for a short period in Las Vegas, Nevada and ultimately settled down in Santa Fe. He began his career in the service industry, working in various restaurants throughout the city. He became well-known and had a loyal customer following. He could always be counted on to tell great jokes and enjoy a good laugh. Larry made friends with just about everyone he would meet and rarely left anyone feeling like a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Walter and Morris Vieira, and sisters Elyse, Mary and Valerie Vieira. He is survived by his wife Sandra Vieira; daughter Crystal Vieira; son Antonio Vieira (Olympia); grandchildren Miguelangelo “Michael” Salas, Marialysa “Mari/Rysa” Salas, Mateo Vieira and Dean Vieira; brother Mark Vieira (Janice), sister-in-law Linda Vieira; numerous nieces, nephews, many beloved extended family members, and countless friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 23, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Rivera Family Kiva Chapel of Light, 417 E. Rodeo Rd., Santa Fe, NM.
