Antonio “Tony” Sanchez

Antonio “Tony” Sanchez, 82, a resident of Española, passed away in his home surrounded by his family on March 15, 2018. Antonio was preceded in death by his father, Carlos Sanchez, mother, Agrupina Sanchez, Sister Polly Sanchez, Brothers, Carl Leroy , Juanito and Benny Sanchez, Sister Lupe Griego and grandson, Ernesto Montoya. Antonio is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Rose Sanchez, his son Mark Sanchez (Cindy), son Chris Sanchez (Kathy), daughter Maxine Montoya (Ernie) son, Carlos Sanchez, and son Jordan Martinez; his brothers Louie (Barbara), Manuel (Isabel), Doroteo (Maria) and sisters Lucy Otero (Manuel), Anabel Sandoval, and Angela Sanchez-Pope. He was kept young by his 10 grandchildren: Sheri Sanchez, Marcos Sanchez (Monique), Lucas Montoya, Mariano Montoya, Sarah Rose Sanchez, Shanee Sanchez, Lorenzo Montoya, Christopher Sanchez, Jazlyn Sanchez, and Krystal Renteria (Jose). He was adored and loved by his 6 great-grandchildren: Gisele and Giada Bautista, Christian Sanchez, and Hailey, Nathan, and Julian Renteria. Services will be held on Saturday, March 24, at Victory Faith Church, 823 Angel Duran Drive, Española, NM. Public viewing will begin at 4:00 with services to follow at 4:30 p.m. Internment will be held on Monday, March 26, 2018, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45PM. Pall bearers will be Marcos Sanchez, Lucas Montoya, Mariano Montoya, Lorenzo Montoya, Christopher Sanchez, and Carlos Griego. The family requests that instead of sending flowers, if you wish, a donation to Victory Faith Church would be appreciated.
