Ashley Hernandez

PFC Ashley Tyler Hernandez, 19, passed away unexpectedly on March 29, 2020, leaving behind a devasted family and broken hearts both near and far.  Ashley joined the Army in October 2018, enlisted as a combat medic and was aspiring to become an Army Ranger.  She had a passion for the medical field and wanted to eventually become a doctor.  She had an infectious smile and laugh, she fiercely loved animals and used to visit the animal shelter every chance she got.  She leaves behind her momma, Mariah Valdez (Neal), Grandparents, John & Naomi Sheffield, numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and countless friends…Diego, TJ, Juan, Jacob, Dre, David and Anyssa just to name a few.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 12th at 12:00 Noon in the Chapel at Rivera Family Mortuaries (417  Rodeo Rd.), followed by burial at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.  She is Forever Loved and Forever Missed.
