Aurora M. Montoya, 89, of Ranchos de Taos passed away on January 9, 2018. She was a member of San Francisco de Asis Church where she served as the Director of Religious Education for several years and was a member of the Ranchos Guadalupanas and a member of the SPMDTU. She was employed by Taos County within the office of the Assessors, Clerks and Treasurers. Later, she was honored to be elected as Taos County Clerk in 1967. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Amada Mondragon, husbands, Manuel Bonifico (Bonnie) Archuleta and Claudino Montoya. She is survived by her children, Evangeline (Vangie) Romero (Adelaido Toby), Raymond Gilbert Montoya (Carol) and Linda M. Montoya (Michelle), grandchildren, Antonio Paul Romero (Jackie), Greg Montoya (Dinah), Nicole Delgado (Michael), Sonya Romero and Claudino Montoya (Melissa), great-grandchildren, Arianna, Julian, Constance, Emilio, Amayah, Isabella, Matthias, Harlie and Claudino, step grandchildren, Serenity, Grace, Chasity, Josiah and Aaliyah, brother, Jose Leopoldo Mondragon (Eloisa), many other relatives and friends.
Rosary will be recited on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 6 PM at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 10 AM at San Francisco de Asis Church with interment to follow at the New Llano Quemado Cemetery.
