Barbara Sturdevant

Barbara F. Sturdevant, 90, of Vernonia, Oregon, passed away on Wednesday, May 29th, 2019. Barbara was born in Roundup, Montana on October 24th, 1928, to Della and Hallowell Clement. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph H. Sturdevant, her brother James Clement and her sisters Sue and Joan Clement. Barbara is survived by her sons Reese and Royce Sturdevant; her daughters Marsha and Noell Sturdevant; ten grandchildren, William, Tim, Colleen and Sarah Sturdevant, Audrey, Lora and Mitchell Goss, and Noel, Kensie and Ian Sturdevant; and one great grandchild, Kallie Sturdevant. A school teacher of history and art, Barbara received her Bachelor of Arts in 1950 from Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana. She was a member of P.E.O. as well as a board member of the public library in Vernonia, Oregon, where she resided for sixty-six years and raised four children. Barbara also enjoyed raising and showing chickens.
