Bear was a proud Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam era. He loved his country. He was also known for his ability to tell a good joke or story and make it relatable to the present moment
He had a wide variety of life experiences and interests from riding horses and raising Grand Champion pigs, as a youth, to working on the family feedlot and farm.
