Born on July 4th, 1930 in Questa, New Mexico, Berlin Trujillo, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on January 20, 2018.
Proceeded in death by his parents, Bonifacio and Lilah Trujillo, brothers, Clarence Trujillo, Ernest (Bonnie) Trujillo, Art Trujillo, and sisters, Rebecca Martinez, and Fabiola Trujillo.
Survived by his wife of 66 years Maude (Modesta) Trujillo, his two beloved sons, Kenny Trujillo and Bobby Lee Trujillo and wife Tish Trujillo, grandchildren Delilah and Mark Medina, Chelsie and Chase Gordon, Rheana Trujillo, Mariah Trujillo, Antonio Trujillo, great grandchildren Elena and Alicia Medina, and Cameron Gordon, sister Marie Kundee, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, and many other loving nieces, nephews, and family members.
Berlin enlisted in the US Army at age 18. He was stationed in Japan, and fought bravely in the front lines of the Korean War, for which he was awarded the Bronze Star. Berlin returned from the service and married his lifetime love, Maude Trujillo, and they made their home in Santa Fe. Berlin worked for the State Highway Department, retiring after 31 years. He enjoyed working on his yard, fishing, going to the casinos, and especially spending time with his family and playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Berlin lived a full life, and lived it the way he wanted.
A Rosary will be prayed on Friday, January 26, 2018, 10 AM at St. John's Catholic Church, 1301 Osage Ave, Santa Fe, NM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Private burial services will take place at a later date.
