Bernard Sanchez

Bernard Russell Sanchez was born in Santa Fe NM on March 16, 1948 and passed away Jan 23, 2016. Born to Aquilino and Dolores {Valdez} both now deceased. Bernard was a kind and loving Son, Brother and Uncle, who valued his Catholic upbringing and was a central part of a very large family. He loved conversing and had many varying opinions on any given subject, which made for a lively conversation with whoever he spoke with. We will miss you “Dear Brother” and will look forward to that brighter day when we reunite in Heaven. Bernard is survived by his Brothers all from Santa Fe: Phil, Gilbert & Lourdes, Joe, J A & Maida, Larry & Stella, Wilfred & Bessie (LV, NM). Sisters: all from Santa Fe. Mary Alice & Orlando Vigil, Cecilia O’Neil, Cleo & Harold Holt, Geraldine Sanchez, Theresa & Michael Louton and many beloved Nephews and Nieces too numerous to name. Pall Bearers: Nephews-Robert Sanchez, Paul Vigil, Daniel Sanchez, Greg Sanchez, Eric Louton and Mark Real. A Rosary will be held at 5pm Sunday evening at Rivera Family Funeral Home, 417 E Rodeo Rd, Santa Fe. On Monday Feb 1st a 10am Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at Santa Maria De La Paz Catholic Church, 11 College Ave, in Santa Fe. Followed by interment at Rosario Catholic Cemetery at 499 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe. A reception luncheon will be held at Santa Maria De La Paz Hall after the burial.
