Berniece M. Bustos – Age 73 – A resident of Velarde passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2007. She was preceded in death by her father, Carlos Romero and son, Ray Bustos. She is survived by her husband, Abel Bustos; children: Trisa Archuleta of Santa Fe, Marian Bustamante and husband James, Tim Bustos and wife Maxine, Eric Bustos all of Velarde and Gene Bustos and wife Jessica of Alcalde; mother, Myrtle Romero of Velarde; sister, Ella Martinez and husband Johnnie of Velarde; brothers-in-law: Horace Bustos of Española, Steve Bustos and wife Helen of Albuquerque and Larquin Bustos and wife Mary of Espanola; sister-in-law, Mabel Espinoza; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Public Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 5:00 pm. in the Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary, with a Devotional Service to follow at 6:00 pm.
