Bernie T. Baca

Bernie T. Baca, 79 of Chimayo, NM passed away on April 14, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, Romolo and Salome Baca, her brothers Delfin and infant Romolo Baca Jr. She is survived by her sisters, Fabiola, Della, Sally, and Lindy Baca of Chimayo, NM. Brother, Leo Baca (Esther) of Chamita, NM. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Tomasita Baca, nephews, Ray (Christy) Baca and Marvin Baca, nieces, Darleen (Jake) Vigil, Evelyn (Troy) Padilla, Valerie Baca, Connie (Edward) Overly, Kathy (Harold) Sanchez and many other great nieces and nephews. She worked at Los Alamos for over 40 years and part of those years for Johnsons Control from where she retired. Bernie loved cooking, gardening and flowers. She was a generous and forgiving person and had much love for everyone who surrounded her life. Serving as Pallbearers will be: Ray Baca, Marvin Baca, Ryan Baca, Jake Vigil, Alvaro Vigil and Severo Vigil. A public viewing took place on Sunday, April 20, 2014. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. A rosary was recited on at 6:30 pm. A funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, April 21, 2014 also at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment took place following mass at El Potrero Cemetery.
