Bertha Marie Block

Bertha (Bert) Marie Block passed away May 29, 2017 with her husband Emil Block by her side. She’s survived by her loving husband of 47 years, her daughter Kelli Brogan , son in law Matt Brogan, Grand children, Mia and Colin Brogan along with her two sister Dolores (Dolly), Garcia and Christine Woods de Rael; brother in law Jim Woods, nephew Mark Garcia and niece Kimberly Woods-Vanselow. Bert enjoyed many things in life, the things she enjoyed most was hiking the Pecos Wilderness, photography and exploring ghost towns and unique places of Northern N.M. A life long resident of Santa Fe, who graduated from Loretto Academy. She began her career path as a business manager with the Santa Fe Agency, and then started a business with her husband called Nothin’ But Boots. She became the property manager for Trammel Crow and later retired from the Georgia O’Keefe Museum. Most recently she was a volunteer at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be sorely missed. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 10:00 am at Rivera Family Kiva Chapel.
