Betty Fiorina

d. February 25, 2010

BETTY FIORINA Betty Fiorina, age 90, of Santa Fe died on Feb. 25th at home with her family. Mrs. Fiorina, former Secretary of State, was well known throughout the state for her advocacy in animal and woman's rights. Fiorina was born in El Paso, TX to Delphine Sauders and Jules Vicknair Sr. She married Anthony Fiorina and is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Sally Wraase, her brother Jules Vicknair Jr. and her husband Anthony Fiorina. She is survived by: her sons Tom and wife Caryn; Gary and wife Roberta Fiorina; her grandchildren: Riesha Fiorina, Anthony Joseph Fiorina II, Matthew Fiorina and Chanet Fiorina; great grandchildren: Gary Thomas and Micah and many other relatives and friends. Her undying love and loyalty to her family was her first and main priority in life. She lived to give to her loved ones and her animals. A very special thank you to Dorothy Brady Mathis, lifetime friend, for her generous support and selfless dedication to Betty! Dorothy donated seven years of her life 24/7 to care for Betty during her unfortunate battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Just a couple of Betty's many great accomplishments include her title of Chief Clerk of New Mexico Constitutional Convention and the dedication of the New Mexico State Printing Facility in her name. Betty was such an amazing woman that it's difficult to sum up her life in a few short sentences. A service was held on March 3, 2010 at Calvary Chapel Santa Fe. Burial and a reception followed at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
