Betty G. Garcia

Betty G. Garcia (87) passed away peacefully on November 23, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Betty was born in Santa Fe and lived there most of her life. She worked at La Fonda as a Seamstress, and later provided child care for many years for many children. Betty was a very kind and compassionate person, and an attentive listener. She is proceeded in death by her husband Joe D. Garcia, and her children Sharon Fox and Harold Garcia. She is survived by her sons Joseph (Barbara), Jerry (Susan), her grandchildren Jennifer, Deanna (Patrick), Monique, as well as great-grandchildren Mariah and Nicholas, and numerous other relatives and friends. The family would like to express a very special thank you to the staff of Casa de Rosa, Ambercare Hospice, and the many friends who visited. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Kiva Chapel on Friday, December 7, 2018, 11:00 a.m., located at 417 East Rodeo Road, with the interment to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m. The arrangements are under the direction of the Rivera Family Funeral Home, 417 East Rodeo Road, Santa Fe.
