Betty M. Herrera

Betty Lopez Herrera, 64 a resident of Espanola passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2013. She was born and raised in Nambe. She graduated from Pojoaque High School in 1968 and went on to work for LANL and the State of New Mexico. Betty was preceded in death by her parents: Maclovio and Rose Lopez, nephew Gregory Lopez, paternal grandparents, Gregorio and Beroniz Lopez, maternal grandparents Cruz and Virginia Romero (May their souls rest in peace). She is survived by her husband Ted L. Herrera, brother, Leonard Lopez and wife Luz of El Guique, sister Theresa Abeyta and husband Joe of Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo, and numerous other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, October 14, 2013, at Santa Cruz de la Canada. Interment took place at the Rosario Cemetery. The following serving as Pallbearers: Jason Abeyta, Nathan Abeyta, Johnny Lopez, Andrea Lopez, Joddie Valdez, Bernie Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers: Evelyn Lindbloom, Sonya Pacheco, Della Craig, Lorraine Abeyta, Josie Pacheco. The family of Betty Lopez Herrera has placed their trust with the Rivera Family Funeral Home in the Espanola Valley for her funeral arrangements.
