Bonnie A. Rodriguez, 66 of Penasco, NM. went to rest in the peace of her savior on Tuesday August 4, 2009. She was born in Bayard, NM. to the late Gilberto and Carolina Medina. She worked for many years for the Penasco public school system as the lunch room manager and was a parishoner at San Antonio De Padua Catholic Church in Penasco. Her family remembers her as hardworking and enjoying tending to her garden. Along with her parents Bonnie was preceded in death by her dear son Gerald Rodriguez, and her father & mother in law; Sebedeo and Amelia Rodriguez. She is survived by a loving family including her two daughters Geraldine Martinez and husband Demetrio of Abiquiu, and Carmela Rodriguez and husband Anthony of Rio Lucio, as well as her son Roland Rodriguez of Rio Lucio. She is also survived by her grandchildren D.J. and Gerald Rodriguez, Ryan, Christopher and Evelyn Torrez, the father of her children Joe Rodriguez of Rio Lucio, her sisters Genieve Montoya and Lillian Martinez of Chimayo and Cordy Vasquez and husband Leroy of WY, brothers; Fred Medina and wife Frances of Hernandez, and Marcos medina and wife Profida of Albuquerque, sister in law Susie Medina of CO., very special friend Ramon Fernandez of Taos, brothers in law; Rudolfo Rodriguez and wife Gladys, and Ferdinando Rodriguez, all of Rio Lucio, sisters in law; Sylvia Soliz and husband Manuel of TX., Bernie Martinez and husband Robert of Chimayo, Jeanette Vigil and husband Julian of Ojo Sarco, Lorraine Martinez of Arroyo Seco, Pauline Rodriguez of Albuquerque, Florida Rodriguez and husband Eddie of Wyoming and Beatrice Fresquez and husband Sam of UT. as well as other relatives. Recitation of the rosary will be held on Saturday at 7:00 PM at The Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola and also on Sunday at 7:00 PM at San Antonio De Padua Catholic Church in Penasco. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 AM also at church in Penasco. Serving as pallbearers will be: Roland Rodriguez, Demetrio Martinez, Anthony, Gerald and D.J.
