Cameron Thomas

July 22, 1997 — August 19, 2022

Cameron Tyler Thomas, 25, of Santa Fe, NM - it is with a heavy heart that we announce his tragic, unexpected passing the evening of August 19, 2022.

Lovingly known as "Cameron", "Tyler", and numerous fun nicknames, was born on July 22, 1997, to Doug Thomas and Cindy Hagman. Cameron Tyler attended Santa Fe High and studied accounting at Santa Fe Community College while working as a server at Chez Mamou. He finally found his calling as a Material Specialist/Employee Owner for Positive Energy Solar. He loved the innovation of the solar industry and building close friendships with his coworkers.

Cameron Tyler had an adventurous spirit and loved the outdoors. He was always "on the go" riding motorcycles and BMXs, camping, hiking, and shooting. He seemed to use his home as a pit stop to sleep/shower and then eagerly head out on his next adventure. Cameron Tyler practiced his sports and was determined to take his skills to the next level because it made him feel so alive. You could see how much he loved his sports by the look in his eyes and the large smile across his face that was always there. Cameron Tyler cherished his family and friends and spent a great deal of his free time in their company. For those who have had the great pleasure of knowing him, Cameron Tyler was one-of-a-kind. From his bright smile, to his infectious energy, and contagious laugh, there is no other person who could light up a room like he could.

Cameron Tyler was predeceased by his Grandfather Bradley Morris Thomas Jr., Grandmother Mary Chavez, and Uncle Bradley Morris Thomas III. He is survived by his Father Doug Thomas, Mother Cindy Hagman, Sisters Natasha Margiawicz (Kevin), Tiffany Thomas and Morgan Hagman, Brothers Kurtis Thomas, Arlen Kavanaugh, and Mathew Hagman, Grandfather Joe Chavez, and Grandmother Audrey Thomas. He will be greatly missed by his uncle, aunts, cousins, and the many friends whose lives he touched.

Services will be held at Rivera's Family Funeral Home, 417 Rodeo Road, Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 10:00 am. A private reception for family and close friends will be held immediately following the service.
