Carlos “Camilo” Montoya

We sadly announce our beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather and friend, passed away on 2-21-24 surrounded by loved ones. He was preceded in death by his wife, Melinda Montoya, his parents and several siblings. He is survived by son Ted, and daughters Jessica, JoAnn and Mary: one sister in law Mary Tapia (Tony): Brothers Tito, Michael and Johnny: Sisters Gloria and Beatrice: Four grandchildren Jose (Angel), Diego (Alysia), Destany (Daniel), and Chantelle (Jeremy): Ten great grandchildren Ezra, Nevaeh, Jeremy, Aria, Jason-Michael, Quinn, Mathew, Sarriah, Corra and Andres.
He was a loving and gentle man who loved life. He loved his family and always put them first. He enjoyed wrestling, Spanish music, fishing, telling jokes and being with family. He loved everyone no matter who you were. He served proudly in the Army and National Guard.
He will be missed by many.
The family extends a special thank you to his niece Michelle and husband Neal Windham for helping in many ways.
A celebration of life will be held on March 7, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Rivera’s Chapel of Light, 417 E. Rodeo Road, burial to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
