Carlos Jaramillo, 69, of Santa Fe, passed away after battling cancer on May 24, 2009 surrounded by his family. Carlos is preceded in death by his beloved wife Maria Edalia (Lala) Jaramillo, parents Jose and Susana Jaramillo, nephew Robert (Bobbie) Jaramillo, father-in-law Juan Pablo Martinez, brothers-in-law Eduardo Trujillo, Daniel Martinez, sister-in-law Dolores Moore, son Donald Salazar, and daughter Luanne Salazar. He worked 19 years for the Kitchen Fresh Bakery and retired from Albertsons (Bakery Department). After retirement he continued working being a handyman, where he met many friends and extended his family. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. Carlos married his companion Ferminia Salazar on May 15, 2009. Mr. Jaramillo is survived by his brothers Conrad Jaramillo and Clifford Jaramillo (Pasty), sisters Anita Jaramillo, Lillian Jones, Perla Trujillo, Shirley Lopez, Dolores Roybal (Joseph), Lucille Trimbly (Alvin)and Brenda Jaramillo (Jimmy), sons Ron Jaramillo (Myra), John Jaramillo (Michelle). Andrew Jaramillo (Jennifer), Andrew Martinez, Larry Vigil, Andres Gonzales (Lisa)and Jose Salazar, daughters Denise Lujan (his fishing and breakfast partner), Pasty Schumann (Chuck), Evon Martinez, Evelyn Martinez (Darren), grandchildren David Jaramillo (Tracy), Aaron Jaramillo (Lisa), Anthony Jaramillo, Ashleigh Jaramillo, John Carlos Jaramillo, Andrea Jaramillo (Jacob), Patrick Marquez, Brian Marquez, Arianna Marquez, E.J. Lucero, Josh Lucero, Luke Martinez, Marissa Martinez, Maria Martinez, Mariah Gonzales, Kayla Gonzales, Jacklyn Gonzales, Alrgra Ortiz, Dina Ortiz, Chantel Salazar, great-grandchildren Joshua Jaramillo, Aubry Jaramillo, Godchildren Lucille Trimbly, Era Sue Jones, Marissa Martinez, Daryl Roybal, close friend Dolores Martienz and extended family members, friends, co-workers, and people he met through the years, too numerous to mention. Visitation will begin at 6:00pm Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Our Lady of Guadalupe where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00am also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with interment following at Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Rodeo Rd. Pallbearers will include David Jaramillo, Aaron Jaramillo, Anthony Jaramillo, Larry Vigil, Andres Gonzales, Luke Martinez, Chuck Schuman, and Daryl Roybal.
