Carlos Mares, 88, of Taos passed away peacefully with family by his side on December 3, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Belisandro Mares (Carlota) and 6 siblings He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Lorein Mares, Mike Mares (Betty Jo), Kathy Mares and Art Mares, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 + great-great grandchildren, surviving siblings, Celina Salazar, Billy Mares (Mary), Elvira Archuleta, Caroline Hall, Orlando Mares (Cordy), Eleanor Meyers (Dallas), many other relatives and friends. Funeral service was held on December 6, 2015 at Grace Brethren Church. Arrangements by Rivera Family Funeral Home.
