Carlos R. Garcia passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on December 30, 2017 after bravely battling Parkinsons Disease for 15 years. Carlos was born on October 30, 1938 in Canoncito, NM to Gregorio & Amada Garcia. He was a very hard worker who had many jobs in his lifetime. His first job at 15 years was a horseback trail guide, Foremost Dairies, Gibsons, and the Santa Fe Public Schools. Carlos was a jack of all trades, he loved working with tools and could fix anything he could get his hands on. He enjoyed camping, going for wood and spending time with his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. In the last few years of his life the Parkinson’s left him unable to walk and talk, he spent his days with his loving wife Marie of 60 years, who selflessly spent her days caring for her husband. Carlos is survived by his wife Marie, children Andrew (Noel), Ray (Lucille), Imelda (Mark), Keith (Angelina) & Roxane, grandchildren Dominick (Liz), Justin, Danette, Danielle, Cody, Tanya, Mario & Gino, greatgrandchildren Michael, Dylan, Daryn, Derek, Josh, Taylor, & Naya, sisters Ramona Aragon and Cecelia Ortiz (Jose). Serving as pallbearers Andrew, Ray, Keith, Dominick, Cody, and Michael. Services to be celebrated: Visitation will be on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 6:00-7:00pm, Rosary at 7:00pm at 417 East Rodeo Road. Santa Fe, NM Rivera Family Funeral. Mass will be Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00am at St. Johns the Baptist Catholic Church at 1301 Osage Ave, Santa Fe, NM. Interment will be Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10:00am at Rosario Cemetery Santa Fe, NM.
