Carlotta "Carla" Ortiz Rodriguez

Carlotta "Carla" Ortiz Rodriguez, 95, resident of Santa Fe, NM passed away peacefully in her home on May 14, 2021. She was born on October 25, 1925 in Santa Fe, NM to Josefita and Francisco Ortiz.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Francisco and Josefita Ortiz, granddaughter; Karen Castanon, sisters; Lourdes Sena, Rosina Sena, Susie Quintana and Soccoro Montoya, brothers; Emilio (Gabby) Ortiz, Louie Ortiz and Alfredo Ortiz.

She is survived by her sons; Patrick Rodriguez, Robert (Debbie) Rodriguez, Frank (Velma) Rodriguez, daughters; Barbara Casados (Bob Hart), Alice (Antonio) Roybal and Theresa (Jesse) Castanon and brother; Albert (Madalyn) Ortiz.

Carla spent many years involved with the Catholic Daughters, she donated to nearly every charity that asked her for help. She raised six children as a single parent and worked any job that came her way. She worked at Kaunes Bakery, Sears, Avon, Adobe Laundry delivery service, Tykers, Woolworths, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church Museum. She retired from the Santa Fe Public Schools after many, many years of service as a cashier, server and cook in the cafeteria. She had many fond memories of her time with the students and staff.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish.

Pallbearers; Darren Casados, Mark Rodriguez, David Roybal, Nicholas Castanon, Derrick Rodriguez, Keaton Rodriguez.

A Rosary will be recited on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe located at 417 Agua Fria, Santa Fe, NM.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe followed by interment at Rosario Cemetery.
