Carmen Duran, 79 A longtime resident of Chupadero, New Mexico passed away on Friday, April 1, 2005. Carmen was born on June 11, 1925 to Francisco and Augustina Romero in Fort Collins, CO. She married Aniseto B. Duran on November 24, 1947. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her late husband Anisteto B. Duran, Son Frank A. Duran, two daughters, Ramona Duran, infant daughter Lucille Duran, grand-daughter Karla Peinado, brother Manuel P. Romero, sister Donaciana Contreras. She is survived by her children, MaryAnne Snow and her husband Mike, Waldo Duran and his wife Marian, Patty Peinado and her husband Ernest, Lucille Polkovitz and her husband John, Julian Duran and his wife Yvonne Y., Rebecca Duran, Daughter-in-law Yvonne P. Duran, 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Carmen is also survived by her sister, Celita Trujillo and husband Tino, sister-in-laws, Lucy Romero and Victoria Duran, brother-in-law Jose Tito Duran all of Chupadero, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Carmen was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed. We love you Mom. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday April 5, 2005, at 6:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Santa Fe, a rosary will follow at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday April 6, 2005 at 9:30 a.m. also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with burial to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Serving the family as Pallbearers will be, Chris Duran, Victor Gonzales, Waldo Duran Jr., Daniel Duran, E.J. Peinado, Jodean Duran, Buddy Polkovitz, and Stephen Romero.
