Carmen Duran

Carmen V. Duran, 68, of Ranchos de Taos passed away unexpectedly on January 23, 2016. She is preceded in death by parents, Eliza and Feliberto Valerio, husband, Tommy Duran, sister, Isabel Valerio and brother in law, George Passino, parents in-law, Sobeida and Edwin Duran, grandparents, Felipe and Pablina Casias and Manuel and Desideria Valerio. She is survived by her beloved son, Thomas Duran (Bella), precious grandchildren who she adored, Mariebella Duran, Nicholas Perez, Rachel Lujan (Benny), Richard Perez (Rocsana), Cynthia Perez (Brandon), great grand-son, Jonathan, her loving brothers and sisters, Andy Valerio (Judy), Helen Montoya (Isaac), Gloria Passino (Ray), nieces and nephews who she loved dearly, Goddaughter, Antonette Martinez (Claudio), Lisa Gallegos (Luis), Jonathan Montoya, Mark Montoya (Tanya), Andrew Valerio (Melanie), Chris Valerio (Stephanie), Antonio Passino, Matthew, Amanda, Arriana, Isabella, Aubrielle, many dear cousins, relatives and friends. Carmen worked for many years as an accountant for several hotels in the area including Sagebrush Inn, Holiday Inn and Super 8. She was an active member of San Francisco de Asis parish serving as a mayordoma for both Talpa and Llano Quemado capillas. Rosary was recited on January 29, 2016. Funeral mass was celebrated on January 30, 2016. Both were held at San Francisco de Asis Church with interment followed at St. Francis Cemetery in Ranchos de Taos.
