Carmen Valdez 84, a resident of Dixon, NM passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017. Carmen was born on August 10, 1932 in Dixon, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horacio Valdez; Parents Margarito and Eliza Maes; brothers Olivas, Elique and Margarito ( Nuno) Maes Jr; sisters, Nancy Maes and Almeida Martinez. She is survived by her children Leonard Valdez of Albuquerque and Veronica Valdez of Chimayo; sister Lucia Martinez of Dixon; sister-in-law Isabel Maes of Dixon; Donald Martinez a very special Nephew she considered as a son, Grandchildren Lori, Leyla, Leslie, Leni, Liza, Cindy and Casey; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great- great grandchild and numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. Funeral Service for Carmen Valdez will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Dixon, NM with Burial following at the Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery in Dixon, NM Serving the family as pallbearers will be; Lori, Andrew and Ray Valdez; Anthony Santiago; Terence Martinez and Robert Castellano.
