Carol Sue Tetters Minton, 58 of El Prado, passed away on February 21, 2009. She is no longer suffering and her loving and giving spirit will live on with us. Carol Sue Minton, a/k/a Tetters, a/k/a Tete, passed away at home. Carol was born and raised in Taos and lived here for her 58 years where she was a legal assistant at Cliff Johnsons Law Office, formerly Brandenburg and Johnson, for 38 years. Carol fought the hard fight with cancer for the last year and a half with her one-of-a-kind stubbornness and strength. And who would have guessed that our back woods country girl traveled to Italy over the holidays with her family. Carol is survived by her sister Donna Ormerod, brother Thomas Minton (Carolyn), brother-in-law Phil Ormerod; nephews Patrick Ormerod (Shonna), Kevin Ormerod (Elberta); nieces Leslie Minton Calabrese, Cindy Jarchow (Joe); great nephews Kaelin Ormerod, Hyrum Ormerod, Ammon Ormerod; great nieces Crystal Ormerod, Camryn Calabrese, Aubryanna Jarchow; and many wonderful friends. Carol is preceded in death by her parents John and Eileen Minton and great nephew Porter Ormerod.
A graveside service celebrating Carols life will be held on March 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sierra Vista Cemetery in Taos, New Mexico. A potluck reception will be held at her residence in El Prado immediately following the service.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
